Summer Contest 2020
Contest Theme: Any
Form: Short Form
Contest Deadline: May 15, 2020 (postmark)
Winners will be published in the Summer 2020 issue.
RULES:
1. Anyone may enter.
2. Each entry must be original (e.g. not generated using online sources) and unpublished.
3. The poem must hew to a “form,” such as, but not limited to, haiku, tanka, cinquains, triolets, ghazals, ottava rimas, or a rhyme scheme of some kind. You may put several poems on a page but please don’t crowd them. Please identify more obscure forms.
Your name and address must be on the back of each 8 1/2 by 11" page. There is a ten-line limit per poem, and you may submit up to six entries.
4. Only one prize will be awarded per poet.
Send a SASE for the winner’s list. (Note: You will receive the winners in a complimentary issue if you submit at least two entries.) Non-winning poems may be considered for an editor's choice section of the contest. All other non-winning poems will be discarded.
FEES: $4.00 per poem. If you submit at least two entries,
you will receive a free issue of TOS, Vol. 47, No. 2.
PRIZES: First Prize $30, Second Prize $25, Third Prize $20,
Honorable Mention $10
(In case of ties, the prize amount will be divided
equally among the winners for that particular place
and both will be published.)
THE JUDGES’ DECISION IS FINAL. Any poems not conforming to
the rules will be disqualified. Entry fees will not be returned. PLEASE
MAKE CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS PAYABLE TO WIND & WATER PRESS.

Contest Themes: "Light" and/or "Darkness"
Form: Any Form
Contest Deadline: November 1, 2020 (postmark)
Winners will be published in the Winter 2020/21 issue.
RULES:
1. Anyone may enter.
2. Each entry must be original, unpublished and address the theme “light,” or “darkness,” or both. Other variations are acceptable, such as twilight, shadow, morning, evening, dawn,
sunrise, sunset, etc. There is a 24-line limit per poem.
3. Your name and address must be on the back of each 8 1/2 by 11" page. You may submit up to four entries.
4. Only one prize will be awarded per poet.
